Wife of Lawrence B Green
Margaret Carter Green, 87, a native of Enon and a resident of Foley, AL, died yesterday in Foley.
She is survived by a son, Jeffery Stephen Green and his wife Cecile Garrett Green of Foley; a daughter, Jerry Green Babers and her husband Bertram F. Babers III of St.
Francisville; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Benjamin and Kirby Green Northcutt, Reginald and Molly Green Morris, all of Nashville, TN, Lawrence and
Memory Green of Foley, David Green of Birmingham, AL, James and Laurel Babers Benton of St. Francisville, Steven and Noel Babers Parnell of Baton Rouge, Clifton
and Nancy Babers Colia of Glenwood Springs, CO, Ellen Babers of Salt Lake City, UT; 15 great-grandchildren, Hannah and Julian Green, Jack and Garrett Morris,
Green Northcutt, Alyson Benton Curry and husband Jason, Nancy, Ann, Michael, William, Cary, and Emma Benton, Ben, Jeff, and Carter Colia; a brother, Howard Carter of Destrehan; and a sister, Carolyn Carter Demshar of Coldwater, MS. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence B. Green, a long-time Washington Parish businessman; her parents, John and Effie Carter; three brothers, Jack, John, and Clayton Carter; a sister, Bernice Carter Tourne; and a grandson, Michael Stephen Babers. Visitation will be held Sunday at Crain Funeral Home from 1 p.m. until the chapel funeral service at 3 p.m. The Rev. Harry McIntyre will officiate at the service.
Interment will follow in Ellis Cemetery in Franklinton.
Pall bearers will be Lawrence and David Green, Benjamin Northcutt, and James, Michael and William Benton. Honorary pall bearers will be Clifton Colia, Steven Parnell, Reginald Morris, Larry Green, Earl Jones, Hugh V. Bateman, Dale Branch and Walter Burris.
