FRANCES RUTH COOK GREER, AGE 93
And a resident of Franklinton died at 7:00 am Tuesday March 17, 2009 at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and a longtime legal secretary serving in court with judges France Watts, Jr., France Watts, III and Clayton James. She enjoyed traveling. shopping, eating out and spending time with family and friends and was forever a loving mother.
Survived by:
2 Daughters: Marilyn Greer and Holly Greer Alford both of Hammond
Son: Francis Warren Greer of Albany
3 Grandchildren: Robert Greer, Cynthia Greer, and Timothy Alford
6 Great-grandchildren: Spencer, Chase, and Gillian Stingley Defne, Hale, and Selin Greer
She was preceded in death by her husband Warren Purvis Greer, parents Joseph T. and Ruth Jones Cook and an infant sister Frances Ruth Cook.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Friday March 20th from 6 until 9 pm. Visitation will continue at 1 pm Saturday at Centenary United Methodist Church. A funeral service will be held in the church at 3 pm with Rev. Steve Porter and Rev. Spiller Milton officiating. Burial will follow in Ellis Cemetery
