June 7, 1930 - October 14, 1996
A retired corporate executive with Dupont Co., Wilmington, Delaware, with 30 years of service and resident of Covington, Louisiana for 13 years, he died at 8:53 pm Monday, October 14, 1996, at St Tammany Parish Hospital, Covington. He was 66, born June 7, 1930, in Baton Rouge. He was a veteran of the Korean War. Visiting was held at St Timothy United Methodist Church, Mandeville, Louisiana 10 am until religious services at 11 am Friday, October 18, 1996.
Survived by wife, Cora Frances Harris Curry; stepmother, Ima Broussard Curry, Baton Rouge; daughters, Leslie Allen Thompson, Long Beach, Mississippi and Frances Heath Robinson, Largo, Florida; son Shelley Curry Jr, Mandeville; sons-in-law, Michael Thompson and Richard Robinson; a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Kay Sodoski Curry, Mandeville; sisters, Mrs Harry Kean Day Sr (Dolores), Baton Rouge, Mrs A D Perry (Auve), Macon, Georgia, Laura "Sandra" Cooper, Atlanta, and D'Juana Lanning, Baton Rouge; brothers L C Curry, Baker, Louisiana and Larry Thomas Lanning, Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Sarah Thompson, Daniel Thompson, James Thompson, Jonathan Edward Robinson, Kyle Robinson and Christoper Curry.
Preceded in death by father Morris W Curry and mother Byrdie Tullier Curry Lanning.
He was a graduate of LSU, Baton Rouge, and a member of St Timothy United Methodist Church. Private interment was in Franklinton.
