Died 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, 1992, at his residence in Franklinton. He was 77 and a native of Franklinton. He was a retired dairyman. Visiting at Crane Funeral Home, Franklinton, 9 a.m. to religious services at 10 a.m. Saturday, conducted by Dr. Jerry Barlow. Burial in Ellis Cemetery , Franklinton. Survived by children, Jo Ann Cox and Mrs. Ernest L. (Mary Joyce) McAdams, both of Baton Rouge, Kelli K. Cox, Franklinton, Patricia E. Sanders, Gretna, Truett Paul Cox, Harahan, and Willis W. "Billy" Cox, Amite; sisters, Mrs. Doyle (Elma) Bond, Franklinton, and Mrs. Percy (Maxine) Amy, Baton Rouge; a brother, J.I. Cox, St. Francisville; three granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by wife, Omalee Bond Cox; parents; two grandchildren; and three brothers. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Franklinton. Memorials may be made to Louisiana Baptist Children's Home, Monroe.

Died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 1986, at Riverside Medical Center, Franklinton. She was 66, a native and resident of Franklinton. She was a former Washington Parish Schol Board employee. Visiting at Crain Funeral Home, Franklinton, after 8 a.m. until religious services at 2 p.m. Friday, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Jerry Barlow. Burial in Ellis Cemetery , Franklinton. Survived by husband, Willis Cox, Franklinton; two daughters, Patricia Cox, New Orleans, and Keli Cox, Franklinton; a sister, Mrs. Von (Nell) Stafford, Franklinton; two stepdaughters, JoAnn Cox and Mary Joyce McAdams, both of Baton Rouge; and two stepsons, Paul Cox, Metairie, and Willis Wendall Cox, Amite. She was a member of Franklinton First Baptist Church. Family request memorial donations be made to Franklinton First Baptist Church Building Fund.
