January 10, 1934 - January 18, 2000
Maudie Knight Clancy, age 66, and a resident of Franklinton, died at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, January 18, 2000 at Dixon Medical Center in Covington.
She was a retired district supervisor with Farmer's Home Administration where she worked for 30 years. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, the Franklinton Garden Club and Quilter's Club.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Derry H. "Buddy" and Andria M. Clancy Jr., David M. and Nicole S. Clancy, all of Eureka Springs, AR.
Also survived by three grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Clancy, Conogher Sargent Clancy and Hannah Grace Clancy, all of Eureka Springs.
She is also survived by one brother, Wayne Knight of Franklinton and two sisters, Olean Corkern and Christine Thomas, all of Franklinton.
Maudie Clancy was preceded in death by her parents, Otto Purcell and Ina Renfro Knight; two brothers, Otto Knight and L.C. Knight and a sister, Melba Hutsell.
Visitation was at Crain Funeral Home on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and after 10:00 a.m. Friday until services in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 in the afternoon.
Dr. Gene Richards, Dr. John Robson and the Reverend Rick Wood officiated at the funeral service.
Pallbearers were Reid Corkern, Russell Knight, W.J. "Rusty" Knight, K.P. "Dusty" Knight, Dennis Thomas and Ronald Thomas.
She was buried in Ellis Cemetery.
