May 13, 1922 - February 23, 1971
Donald Rodgers Clark, Sr., 48, of 1333 Wilson St., died Tuesday in a local hospital. Born in Union County, May 13, 1922, he was the son of Emmitt and Idell Nute Clark. He was a member of Little Hope Baptist Church and an employe of Union Tire Co. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Johnette Williams, Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Gloria J. Bradford, Miss Gwendolyn Clark and Miss Deborah K. Clark, all of El Dorado; six sons, Sgt. Donald R. Clark, Jr., San Diego, Calif., Airman 1C Walter I Clark, DaNang, Vietnam, Marvin L. Clark, John R. Clark, Ronald C. Clark and Wallace B, Clark, all of El Dorado; and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in East Side Baptist Church with the Rev. G. C. Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Little Hope Cemetery, Lockhart, La., under the direction of Sims Mortuary. (El Dorado Times - February 26, 1971)
