Alex R Campbell,a funeral director for Jacob Schoen & So, died of lung disease Wednesday at Humana Hospital. He was 64. Mr Campbell was born in Camden, Arkansas, and lived in New Orleans for more than 20 years. He was a graduate of Dallas Institute-Gupton Jones College of Mortuary Science. Mr Campbell served in the Marine Corps Reserve during World War II. Survivors include his wife, Pauline Stieber Campbell; stepson, Elroy J Leveque; stepdaughter, Janice Bankston; sister, Katie Ross of Hot Springs, Arkansas; 8 grandchildren; & 3 great-grandchildren. A Mass will be celebrated today at 12:30 pm at Jacob Schoen & Son, Inc, 3827 Canal Street. Burial will be in Ellis Cemetery in Franklinton, Louisiana.
