Terry Louis Reed was born on Nov. 25, 1965 in Monroe, Louisiana the son of Willie Jr. Reed and Mable Jones Reed. He departed this life on Friday, Aug. 10, 2018 doing what he loved best “TRUCKING!”
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Bernice Meadows and Christine Blackmon; his sisters Myesha Reed and Stephanie Boone; nephew, Farano Walter, his aunt, Betty Meadows and Clyde Davis.


Terry accepted Christ at an early age and had a personal relationship with God! He was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Spearsville, Louisiana.

He graduated from Spearsville High School, Class of 1984. He was passionate about basketball and loved to play with his high school team, the Spearsville Pelicans. He loved to fish and hunt. After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp. Terry impressed his past employers with outstanding workmanship at Great Lakes, Chemtura and Tetra Technology. Terry decided to become an entrepreneur and became his own boss. He owned and operated Reeds Transportation of El Dorado.
Terry was a hard worker and dedicated to his family. He loved to have a good time entertaining and spoiling his grandchildren.
In 1989 he met the love of his life and on Feb. 19, 1991 he married his bestfriend, Victoria Green. To this union one son was born, Brandon Reed.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 28 years, Victoria Green-Reed of Spearsville, Louisiana; six sons, Antonio Green of Little Rock, Derrick Mathis, Atlanta, Georgia, Brandon Reed, Quentin and Quincy Thompson all of Spearsville, Louisiana and Marcus Parker (Tanesha), of El Dorado; nine grandchildren, Omarion, Ethan, A’niyah, Braylee, Andreanna, Kaitlynn, Kylie, Amari and Kebria. His mother Mable Jean Reed, El Dorado; six brothers, Michael W. Reed, Dallas, Texas, George Reed, El Dorado, Gary Hopkins, Magnolia, Deon Meadows, Anthony Meadows and Terry Meadows, New Home, Louisiana; six sisters, Beverly Hill and Valerie Reed both of El Dorado, Rotonda Reed, Shreveport, Louisiana, Eula Joyce Meadows-Smith, Lillie, Louisiana, Loreta Lewis, Summerfield, Louisiana and Karen Ferguson, Little Rock; six uncles, Bobby Tubbs, Houston, Texas, Ernest Meadows, Spearsville, Louisiana, Leo Meadows, Otis Charles Gibson (Emma), Otis Jones, Jr. (Kathy), all of Lillie, Louisiana and Charles Byrd of El Dorado; three aunts, Martha Ann Levingston, Spearsville, Louisiana, Diane Davis, Junction City and Virginia Powell of El Dorado. A host of brother in laws, sister in laws, a host of nephews and nieces, a host of cousins and friends that loved Terry Reed!
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018 at New Life Deliverances and Worship Center, 8388 Junction City Hwy., 167 South, El Dorado, with Apostle Lornell Grayson officiating. Burial will be in Little Hope Cemetery in Spearsville, Louisiana.
Services are entrusted to Paradise Funeral Home.
