Husband of Mary Fidelia Hinson Carter
Judge Prentiss B. Carter died August 4th. He was born
December 18 1856 Magnolia, Pike County Mississippi,as an infant moved to Washington Parish. Prentiss was the son of Hannibal and Missouri Carter.
He was twice married, first to Josephine Corinne Carson in Octber, 1880, who died leaving 2 sons and 3 daughters to rear; married second June, 1895 to Mary Fidelia Hinson, to whom had only 1 daughter. Interment was in the Ellis cemetery.
