HARVEY JOSEPH BIENVENU, SR., AGE 85

And a resident of the Clifton Community died at 4:20 am Tuesday January 12, 2016 at Resthaven Living Center in Bogalusa. He was a former radar technician in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Harvey was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and a longtime successful dairyman. He was the founder of the Franklinton Dairy Supply and was instrumental in the formation of the Franklinton Country Club and Franklinton Long-Range Skeet Club. Harvey enjoyed deer hunting and quail hunting at many places across the country including his favorite areas in Colorado. He enjoyed dancing and having a good time with his family and friends.
Survived by:
4 Sons and Daughters in law: Harvey Joseph Bienvenu, Jr. and Missy Bienvenu, John David Bienvenu and Joyce Bienvenu all of Franklinton, Paul Anthony Bienvenu and Dana Bienvenu,
Michael Allen Bienvenu and Lynn Bienvenu all of Denham Springs
3 Daughters: Staci Ann Bienvenu of Tallahassee, FL,
Emily Joan Bienvenu of Orlando, FL, Kristen Marie Sorrell of Bogalusa

10 Grandchildren and Spouses: Grace McQuary, Andy Bienvenu,
Matthew Bienvenu, Jo Anna Qazaqzeh, Blandon Sorrell, Jr. and Amber Sorrell, Daniel Sorrell, Casey and Chad Cothern,
Blaine Bienvenu, Brooke Bienvenu, Taylor and Drew Ammons,
6 Great-grandchildren: Barrett Sorrell, Aiden Ammons, Layla Qazaqzeh, Mary Kate Richardson, Abbigail Cothern, Anna Bella Cothern
Also numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Jo Ann Shedd Bienvenu, his parents Henry J. Bienvenu and Emily Schexnayder Bienvenu, very recently by son in law Blandon Sorrell, daughter in law Stephanie Miller Bienvenu, grandsons John Joseph Sumrall and Wayne Shoemaker, III, great-granddaughter Callie Shoemaker, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

JoAnn Shedd Sykes, 67, and a resident of Mandeville, died at 8:05 AM on Monday,
January 21, 2000, at Bogalusa Community Medical Center.
She was a former resident of Franklinton. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Mandeville and a registered nurse with Southeast Louisiana Hospital.
She is survived by her husband, William Sykes of Mandeville; four sons and daughters-in-law, Harvey Jr. and Missy Bienvenu; John and Joyce Bienvenu of
Franklinton; Paul and Stephanie Bienvenu; and Michael and Lynn Bienvenu of Denham Springs.
Also survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Staci and Jim Ellzey, Emily Bienvenu of Franklinton and Kristen and Blandon Sorrell of Bogalusa; one brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Susan Shedd of Franklinton and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Annie Shedd.
Visitation was at Crain Funeral Home from 6 PM until 9 PM on Tuesday and after 8 AM Wednesday.
Funeral services were held at 10 AM Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Father Bill Blank, pastor of Holy Family Catholic Church in Franklinton, officiating.
Pallbearers were Jim Ellzey, Jody Sumrall, Blandon Sorrel, Frank Nelson, Keith Fussell and Johnny Lane Fisher.
Burial was in Ellis Cemetery.
