Jewel E Bond son of Fletcher A and Florence Irene Morris Bond
Died 5:40 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, 1988, at Riverside Medical Center, Franklinton. He was 89, a native and resident of Franklinton. Visiting at Crain Funeral Home, Franklinton, 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday and after 8 a.m. until religious services at 2 p.m. Friday, conducted by the Rev. Joey Miller and the Rev. Gene Richard. Burial in Ellis Cemetery , Franklinton. Survived by five sons, Woodson Bond and Durwin Bond, both of Franklinton, Douglas Bond, Sulphur, C.F. Bond, Baton Rouge, and Jewel Bond Jr.,Denham Springs; three daughters, Mrs. Louis (Yvonne) Edwards, Wilmer, Mrs. James (Irma Gay) Pettitt, Franklinton, and Mrs. Richard (Nelda Jane) Sheridan, Bogalusa; three brothers, Ernest Bond, Osyka, Miss., Murphy Bond, Tylertown, Miss., and Ivy Bond, Sicily Island; three sisters, Mrs. Carl (Myrtis) Brumfield, Franklinton, Mrs. Burlon (Pauline) Bryant, Kentwood, and Mrs. Ray (Lavada) Alford, Osyka, Miss.; 22 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Preceded in death by wife, Isabel Penny Bond. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Franklinton.
