C. W. (Pode) Tillman, 96 years and 10 months, a retired farmer of Spearsville, La., died in a clinic in Bernice, La. early Tuesday. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary D. Tillman; five sons, Leon Tillman of Long Beach, Calif., Raymond Tillman of Los Angeles, Calif., Gilbert Tillman of Strong and Luther Tillman and Gordon Tillman, both of Lillie, La.; two daughters, Mrs. Edwin Farrar and Mrs. Odas Farrar, both of Lillie; 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Beach Grove under the direction of Spears Funeral Home of Farmerville, La. (The El Dorado Times - September 1, 1964)
