Funeral services for Dustin Von Freeman, 34, of Farmerville, a rigging foreman with CB&I, will be held at 3:00pm, Friday, March 16, 2018 at his home church, Antioch Baptist in Farmerville with Bro. Paul Carter and Bro. Rubin Weaver officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.
Dustin was well known by his nickname “Idler” and lived life to the fullest. His family and friends mattered most to him, especially his baby girl Lyza Kate. He was a “jack of all trades” and could figure out just about anything. His friends and family often called on him to assist with random projects. For 5 years he was part of the Farmerville Fire Dept. family. He knew trivia and tons of random useless knowledge. He had a loving servant’s heart and was always willing to stop, listen and lend a helping hand.
Dustin was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Elmer & Frances Freeman and maternal grandparents: Bee & Lula Mae Tucker.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents: Von & Mary D. Freeman of Farmerville; 1 daughter, Lyza Katherine of Linville; 1 sister, Kristin Ross & husband, John of Sterlington; 1 nephew, John-Tucker Ross; 1 niece, Mallory Rose Ross; special friend, Tiffany Ackman; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Pallbearers will be Sonny Moon, Josh Auger, Cody Allen, Heath Hearn, Kacey Cranford, and Jayme Parker. Honorary pallbearers are D.B. Reeves, Mr. Wes Jinks, and co-workers of the Iron Working Industry.
Visitation will be 12:00-2:30pm Friday at Antioch Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to the Barak Shrine Temple, c/o Memory of Dustin Freeman, 6620 Frontage Road, Monroe, 71202
