Funeral services for Bobby Wayne Gray, Sr, 81, will be held at 2:00pm, Monday, March 14, 2016 at Antioch Baptist Church with Bro Don Reeves, Bro Glyn Nale and Bro Rubin Weaver officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.
Mr Gray, a retired lab analyst at IMC-Angus Chemical for 43 years, went to his Heavenly home on March 11, 2016. A lifelong resident of Union Parish, Mr Gray was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Mr Gray coached youth baseball for many years and served as State and National Director of Dixie Boys Baseball. He loved his church and served as a greeter, giving candy to the children. He was an avid hunter of all game. Mr Gray attended many church singings in the area and with his giving heart, supported many other churches. He was a Notary Public and loved to garden.
He was preceded in death by his parents T T & Ida Belle McCormick Gray; brothers Jerrell, Jimmy & Kenneth Gray; sisters Era Joy Gray, Elaine Gray Hayes & Patti Gail Gray.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 60 years, Vivian Hudson Gray; sons, Wayne & Jane Gray, Charles Gray and David & Belinda Gray all of Farmerville; sisters, Ann Gray of Farmerville and Sue & Wayne Upshaw of Monroe; grandsons, Robbie & Stephanie Gray, Jeremy & Sonya Gray, Jerrod Gray & fiancé, Shelby Haynie, D J Gray and Eli Gray; grand- daughters Hannah Gray, Molly Gray and Darcie Gray; great grandchildren, Brittani, Dylan, Emily, Madison, Elissa, Landon, Hayden and Tanner; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation is from 4-7 pm, Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Antioch Baptist
