Rosie Mae Brides James, 69, a resident of Ann Street in Bogalusa, died Tuesday in St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington.
She is survived by her husband, Willie Ray James of Bogalusa; three sons, Robert Bridges of Picayune,
MS, Joe Bridges, and Frank Bridges, both of Bogalusa; two daughters, Barbara Ann (Jonas) Carter of Picayune and Rose Marie Williams of Bogalusa; a brother, Rev. Amos (Edna) Davis of South Bend, IN; a sister, Loula Williams of Elkart, IN; her father-in-law, Rev. Dutch James of
Mt. Hermon; seven sisters-in-law; a brother-in-law; six stepchildren, Theresa James, Kimberly James, Annie Ruth Jefferson, Lisa James, Willie R. James Jr., and Kenneth James, all of New Orleans; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and 28 step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, James Ray Bridges and Richard Bridges; a daughter, Emma Jean Bridges; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Luke (Mary Lee) Davis; sisters, Lucy
Mae Tate, Cora Davis, Maeola Ray, Josie Adams, and Bertha Davis; a brother, Luke Davis; and a stepdaughter, Joyce James.
Visitation will be held tomorrow at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa from 2-5 p.m.
A wake service will be held at Allen's Temple Church of Christ Holiness in Bogalusa from 7-8 p.m.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday at the church at 1 p.m. Elder Robert E. Williams will officiate
at the service. Interment will follow in the Bogalusa Cemetery.
