Malcolm F. Moore, 83 of Vivian, LA passed away on July 25, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home Chapel in Vivian, LA, officiated by Rev. Jody Dempsey. Burial will follow at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Vivian. There will be a time of visitation from 6-8PM on Tuesday, July 26th at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home.
Malcolm was born on September 30, 1932 in Oil City, LA to Prentiss and Hollie Moore. He lived in Oil City all of his life and was a member of First Baptist Church of Oil City. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korea War.
Malcolm was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Johnann Burke Moore, his parents Prentiss and Hollie Moore and Lea Allie Rowell, James Moore, Georgia Friedel, Cuba Graves, Bonnie Jenkins, Marion Moore, and Freddie Moore. He is survived by his four children George Moore and wife Michelle of Shreveport, LA, William Moore and wife Rita of Shreveport, LA, Cricket Johns and husband Rusty of McLeod, TX, and Chris Moore and wife Kina of Vivian, LA. He is also survived by his brother Walter Moore of Washington, his two sisters Johnnie Ruth Graves of Shelbyville, TX and Rebecca Burton of Vivian, LA, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Rusty Johns, Brad Johns, William Moore, Chad Moore, Chris Moore and Brian Moore.
