Ruby Lee Fortenberry, age 84, a former resident of Bogalusa, died Sunday, Feb. 8 in Rialto, Calif.
She is survived by one son, Alex J. Stokes of Rialto; two sisters, Jackie Jackson and Bessie Smith of Santa Ana, Calif.; a godson, Ralph A. Batiste; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Mertis Fortenberry; one son, Roland Stokes; her parents and three sisters.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, Feb. 14 at 1 p.m. in Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Raymond E. Mims, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the Bogalusa Cemetery.
Crain and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
