Jarie Doris Buckley, 61, a former resident of Bethany Nursing Home and a resident of East 6th Street in Bogalusa, died Friday in Mercy Memorial Hospital in New Orleans. She is survived by her former husband, Elbert J. Buckley Sr. of Bogalusa; four sons, Elbert (Chequita) Buckley Jr. of Bogalusa, Reginald Buckley of San Diego, CA, Shell (Juanita) Buckley of Bogalusa, and Christopher (Erica)
Buckley of Clarksville, TN; her mother, Ruby Magee of Bogalusa; four brothers, Royan Magee of Los Angeles, CA, Donald Ray (Ester) Magee, and Gary (Priscilla) Magee, both of Bogalusa; Robert James Magee of Monroe; sisters, Phyllis (Robert) Owens of New Orleans, Mary Lee Magee, Barbara
Ann Magee, Sheryl Anthony, and Donna Marie Anthony, all of Bogalusa; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews,and other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death was her father, Curtis Magee; her sister, Jeanette
Magee Dawson; her aunt, Lillie Mae Lewis; her uncle, Lorcee Lewis; and her grandmother and grandfather, Emma Magee and Dewitte Magee.
Visitation will be held tomorrow at Crain and Sons Funeral Home from 2-5 p.m. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Bogalusa with Tom Bailey, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the Bogalusa Cemetery.
