Born in Knoxville, Knox County, Tennessee & died in Stonewall, DeSoto Parish, Louisiana. Son of Henry Baldwin 1804 – 1871 & Charlotte Wear Armstrong 1807 –1854.
Married Harriet Alice MacBay Baldwin 1862 - 1950
in 1879. He was business owner, Postmaster and a Sheriff in Teller County, Colorado. In 1897, he moved his family to Polk County, Missouri where he was a Postmaster once again and in 1904 he was elected and served as County Judge for a several terms. In 1912, they once again moved to DeSoto Parish, Louisiana where he engaged in farming for the remainder of his years.


The headstone photo was provided by his great grandson.
