Jason Paul "Jay," age 27, died June 8, 1998 in New Orleans, Louisiana. A mechanical engineer for C&R Pittman Construction Co. and a resident of New Orleans, he died Monday, June 8, 1998, in New Orleans. He was 27 and a native of Franklinton . Visiting at Crain Funeral Home, Franklinton , 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday and after 8 a.m. Thursday. Religious services at the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Dr. Jerry Barlow and the Rev. Karl Tingle officiating. Burial in Springhill -Magee Cemetery near Franklinton . Survived by mother and stepfather, JoAnn M. and Leo Liuzza, Baton Rouge; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Melissa and Kelly Reiss, New Orleans, and Wendy and Richard Moreland, Winston-Salem, N.C.; grandmother, Melba Monk, Franklinton ; and several aunts and uncles. Preceded in death by father, Paul B. Simmons. He was a graduate of LSU and a member of Delta Chi fraternity and First Baptist Church, Franklinton.
