Mr. Moran was the former owner and operator of Central Ambulance Service and a retired deputy sheriff with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office with 23 years of service. He was 69, a resident of Central and a native of Franklinton . He died Monday, April 11, 2005, at his daughter's residence. He was a peacetime veteran of the U.S. Army. Visitation at Charlet Funeral Home Inc., Zachary, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 12. Visiting at Springhill Baptist Church, near Franklinton , from 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, until religious service at 11 a.m. Interment in Springhill -Magee Cemetery , Franklinton . He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Shelly Moran and Clark and Cindy Moran; two daughters and sons-in-law, Maria and Eddie Sparacino and Karen and Carl Roberts; 18 grandchildren, David, Dwayne, Bridget and Jessica Moran, Shaine Powers, Christy Barber, Nicole Hiertzler, Jeremy and Amanda Sparacino, Danelle Wilkins, Brittney Arnold, Ryan Harrell, Joshua Beckes, Brian Beckes, Carlina and Candice Roberts, Carla Kay Hester and Cherri Lea Young; 12 great-grandchildren, three stepsisters, Maudine Honea, Betty Pittman and Mona Louise Jones; and a stepbrother, Walter Watson. He was preceded in death by his father, Buford Clark; and mother, Cornelia S. Watson. Pallbearers will be David and Dwayne Moran, Shaine Powers, Jeremy Sparacino, Ryan Harrell, Aaron Heirtzler, Edward Letard and James Dawson.
