Bruce Wayne Bateman, infant son of Brandi Lambert and Slade Bateman, both of Franklinton, died Sunday in Children's Hospital in New Orleans. He was born April 5, 2004, in Lakeview Regional Medical Center.
Other survivors include his brother, Hunter Cole Bateman of Franklinton; his grandmother, Deanna Bateman of Franklinton; and great-grandparents, Dorman Varnado of Amite and Annie Lambert of Wilmer.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bruce Bateman, and Patricia and Gary Lambert; and great-grandparents, Eloise Varnado and Shelby Lambert.
Visitation will begin after 11 a.m. Thursday at Crain Funeral Home and will continue until the funeral service which will be conducted in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. The Revs. Sam Leto and Willie Westmoreland will officiate at the service. Burial will follow in the Bethel Church Cemetery.
