August 13, 1900 - February 9, 1965
Josh H. Beebe, 64, of Calhoun, La., died Tuesday morning after a brief illness. He is survived by: his widow; five sons, Ear James Beebe, Lakeview, Ore., William Merrill Beebe, Sunset, La., Josh Beebe, Jr, Riverside, La., Roy David Beebe, Jacksonville, Tex., and Huey P. Beebe, Bende, Ore.; five daughters, Mrs. Mertie Gilliam and Mrs. Rubie Taylor, both of Jacksonville, Tex., Mrs. Shirley K. Nous, Garland, Tex., Mrs. Carolyn Fletcher, Palestine, Tex., and Mrs. three step-daughters, Mrs. Ollie Belle Alphin and Mrs. Mary Draper, Center, Tex.; Ollie Belle Alphin and Mrs. Eva Frisby, both of El Dorado, and Mrs. Thelma Burke, Santa Monica; one step-son, Buddy Whooten, West Monroe, La.; three brothers, E. L. Beebe and J. J. Beebe, both of West Monroe, and W. D. Beebe, Calhoun; one sister, Mrs. Lennie Bell Becorte, Monroe, La.; 24 grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be announced by Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. (The El Dorado Times - February 11, 1965)
