Mr Albritton was born July 24, 1919 in Farmerville. He was the son of Lloyd Wilson Albritton and Katherine Isabel Green Albritton. They were hill farmers and Wilson, Jr had many fond memories of growing up on the farm.

He was the Supervisor of Veterans Training for Union Parish and a school teacher for many years in various communities in Louisiana. He was a graduate of Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Education and maintained a love for the Tigers right up to his death. He grew up in the Hopewell community and played baseball on that team of neighbors as they ‘took on” the surrounding communities. He was a fan of the Atlanta Braves and followed the Chicago Cubs. His real pride was in his children and grandchildren as he related them to anyone he met.

He is survived by his children John Loyd Albritton and wife Sharon and Dr Marsha Friedrich and husband Russell, all of Shreveport; and Tom Albritton and wife Debbie of Pineville; grandchildren Donna “Dee Dee” Day Cochran and husband Robert; Lea Albritton Green and husband Daniel; Laura Albritton Graves and husband Randall; Lesha Albritton Pace and husband Dancy, all of Shreveport; and William Albritton and Alyse Albritton both of Pineville and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Rob Cochran, Dancy Pace, Daniel Green, Randall Graves, William Albritton and Dr A D Smith.

The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff at Heritage Manor South and LifeCare Hospital.
