February 8, 1891 - August 16, 1966
Clarence Brooks, Sr., of Farmerville, La., died Tuesday from injuries suffered in an accident Monday. Services were held at 2:30 p.m. at the Sardis Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Shreve officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick's Funeral Home of Farmerville. Survivors include three sons. Leo Brooks, Pine Bluff, James Brooks, Bastrop, La., Clarence Brooks, Jr., Farmerville; five daughters, Mrs. Vera McLeod, Crossett, Mrs. Hazel Pinion, Houston, Tex., Ernestine Pardue, Port Arthur, Tex., Mrs. Bessie Goodwin and Mrs. Rita Nolan, both of El Dorado; six brothers, Talmadge Brooks, Sun Valley, Calif., Tom Brooks, Minden, La.; J. E. Brooks, Homer, La., Homer Brooks, Oklahoma City, Okla., James L. Brooks, Fresno, Calif., Larkin Brooks, Shawnee, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs. Lucille Davis, St. Louis, Okla., Mrs. Coar Kidder, San Bernadine, Calif.; 18 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
