Deal, Jackson, Private Company C 4th Battalion Louisiana Infantry. Enlisted August 8, 1861, Winnsboro, Louisiana. Present on all Rolls to February, 1863. Roll August 31, 1864, to February 28, 1865, Present. Prisoner of War
September 19, 1863. Roll March and April, 1865, Absent, wounded, April 4, 1865, at Spanish Fort
and at Hospital not known. Appears on Federal register of sick and wounded prisoners of war at
City Hospital, Mobile, Alabama. Paroled at Mobile,Alabama, May 11, 1865. Residence Leak County, Mississippi.
