April 2, 1934 - July 11, 2015
Funeral services for Mr. Bobby G. Hicks, 81, of Farmerville will be held 11:00am Tuesday July 14, 2015 at Sardis Baptist Church with Bro. Kurt Auger officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville. Visitation will be at the church starting 1 hour prior to time of service.
Mr. Hicks a retired shift supervisor with Angus Chemical Company in Sterlington went to his heavenly home on Saturday July 11, 2015. He was an avid fisherman who taught his children and grandchildren how to fish. In his past years he also enjoyed playing softball, he was a hard worker rarely missing a day of work. He was a great husband, father and grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his parents Que & Onie Hicks; 2 daughters: Lisa Hicks Kumha & Melanie Hicks Cavalier; 2 sisters: Dot Taunton & Willene Finklea.
Survivors include Anita Ginn Hicks his wife of 55 years; 1 daughter Wendy Hicks Parker (Steve) of Start; 1 brother: Gary Hicks (Katherine) of Bushnell, FL; 8 grandchildren: Chelsea, Joshua, Brett, Kaleigh, Michael, Garrett, Summer and Samir; 7 Great Grandchildren: Austin, Reagan, Teagan, Molly Claire, Diamond, Hunter and Tytan; plus a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends
