* OVERVIEW

Ruddock Cemetery
St. John The Baptist County,
Louisiana

Cemetery had been vandalized. It is near the railroad tracks and difficult to get to. In a July 5,1981, Baton Rouge Advocate article, page 1B, the writer, Hal Ledet, stated that at one time 100 people were buried here. Vandals and Mother Nature have taken their toll. Much destruction and loss of life in this area in the "1915 West Indian Hurricane".
About 3 2/3 miles north of Frenier, just west of the tracks. It is about half way between Frenier and Ruddock.
Frenier has some residents and restaurants. Ruddock is only a boat ramp off I55/US Hwy 51.
