Funeral service for Wayman Strozier, 87, of Ruston, LA will be 10:00 AM on Monday, June 26, 2017 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Ruston. Interment will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Ruston under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Visitation will be 5-7 PM on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston.
Wayman served his country in the US Navy. He was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. Wayman retired with 30 years of service with Stone Container.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Anna Belle Strozier; grandson, Larry Sheldon Tolar; great-grandson, Seth James Bradford; and daughter-in-law, Dianne Strozier.
Wayman is survived by his wife of 67 years, Lucille Strozier of Ruston, LA; children: Kenneth Dale Strozier; Samuel Dewayne Strozier (Tami); John Darrell Strozier (Rebekah); Sharon Lynn Parnell (Harold); and Rusty Strozier (Angela); grandchildren: Kenneth Wayne Strozier, Samuel Thomas Strozier, John Craig Harlan Strozier, Michael Shane Strozier, Melissa Kaye Bradford, Chad Monroe Tolar, Haley Marie Strozier, Tara Elizabeth Holtzclaw, Beatty Aaron Strozier, Tracy Tolar, and Mistie Simons; 19 great-grandchildren; brothers: Glen Strozier and Homer Sam Strozier; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Pallbearers are Wayman’s grandsons: Kenneth Wayne Strozier, Samuel Thomas Strozier, John Craig Harlan Strozier, Michael Shane Strozier, Chad Monroe Tolar, and Beatty Aaron Strozier.
