William Edmond "Bill" Bateman
Died 1:15 p.m. Friday, July 26, 1991, at his residence in Franklinton. He was a native of Franklinton and longtime resident of River Ridge. He was a retired metal manufacturer. Visiting at Crain Funeral Home, Franklinton, 10 a.m. to religious services at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. Burial in Ellis Cemetery , Franklinton. Survived by wife, Peggy H. Bateman, Franklinton; three sons, William E. Bateman Jr., Covington, Robert Stephen Bateman, River Ridge, and Horton H. Bateman, Fairhope, Ala.; two daughters, Mrs. Martha Ann Caffery, Park City, Utah, and Mrs. Christine Elizabeth Creel, Franklinton; a sister, Mrs. Rosamond Burch, Franklinton; and seven grandchildren. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Franklinton.

Peggy Harold, age 88, and a resident of Franklinton died early Sunday morning February 23, 2014 at her home. She was a native of New Orleans and a former secretary with the Tulane Medical School Biology Department who enjoyed scrabble and doing crossword puzzles. Peggy loved painting and was a good artist, including several painted family portraits. She liked to watch movies and was a longtime member of Holy Family Catholic Church, which she loved very much. Peggy was a loving mother and grandmother that received her greatest joy and comfort from the time spent with her family.
Survived by: 2 Daughters and a Son in law: Martha A. Bateman of Madisonville, Tina and Mike Creel of Franklinton
2 Sons and Daughters in law: Robbie and Anne Marie Bateman of Lacombe, Horton and Sharon Bateman of Gulf Shores, AL
10 Grandchildren and Spouses: Lauren Caffery, Jason and Amber Creel, Anna and Peter Saxon, Rob Caffery, Stephanie Bateman, Victoria and Stephan Yniguez, Robert Bateman, Scott Creel, William Bateman, Leah Bateman
3 Great-grandsons: Jacob, Caleb, and Alex
Also numerous nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her husband William Edmond Bateman, Sr. a son William Edmond "Bill" Bateman, Jr., her parents John Horton Harold, Sr. and Eunice Caro Harold, a brother and sister in law John Horton "Buddy" Harold, Jr. and Diane Harold, and an infant brother.
