Wife of Thomas McCauley Bateman
Daughter of Henry Willis and Mary Selena Magee Magee
Died Thursday, May 10, 1990. She was a longtime resident of Baton Rouge. She was a retired state employee and a former schoolteacher. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., 10 a.m. Saturday until memorial services at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Jerry Ratcliff. Graveside services at Ellis Cemetery , Franklinton, at 4:30 p.m. Saturday. Survived by two sons, Thomas B. Bateman, Natchez, Miss., and John H. Bateman, Baton Rouge; a sister, Mrs. P.C. Lane, Bogalusa; four grandchildren, Graham Bateman, Thomas McCauley Bateman II, Elise Bateman and Brian Bateman. Preceded in death by husband, Thomas McCauley Bateman; and parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Willis Magee. She was a member of First Baptist Church, a charter member of Athenian Bible class and a graduate of Louisiana Normal College (Northwestern Louisiana University), Natchitoches.
