Mrs. Lena Ball Bateman, wife of J.E. Bateman died Sunday. Interment was in the Ellis cemetery. Survivors are her husband, 6 daughters and 3 sons: Mrs. Joel Magee, Franklinton; Ruth Bateman, Laural, Miss.; Mrs. J.R. Davis, Lynchburg, Va.; Mrs Josie Simmons, New Orleans; Misses Mary Ellis and Carol Bateman, in the home; R.W. Bateman, Franklinton; Silton Batman, Bogalsua; Hugh Bateman, Ferriday; 2 brothers, Henry of Angie and Bob Ball of Slidell; 4 sisters Mesdames Sones of Angie; Watkins of Oklahoma, Moody of Charleston, Miss., and Robert Magee of Bogalusa.
