Ouachita County,
Louisiana

August 21, 1962 - March 27, 2016

Funeral services celebrating the life of Mark Anthony Rappold, 53, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday March 31, 2016 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA with Rev. Job Edathinatt Sciara officiating. Interment will be in St. Paschal Catholic Cemetery in West Monroe.

Mark died March 27, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, John A. Rappold and niece, Michelle M. Woods

Mark is survived by his mother, Mrs. June M. Rappold; Sisters, Debbie R. Woods and husband Steve and Patricia R. Cruise and husband, Wayne; Brothers, John F. Rappold and wife, Debbie, Raymond Rappold, James A. (Bo) Rappold and wife, Kendi and Keith Rappold and wife, Jennifer; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mark had many friends but few better than Michael Woods, Joe Waits, Shawn Pittard, Randy Christy, Apache, and Eric Cook. Mark also loved his FURR-ever Chihuahua "babies", Tipsy and Trixie, who never left his side.

Mark graduated from West Monroe High School in 1981. He was self-employed, operating numerous convenience stores over the years, most recently, Hillside Grocery. Mark was the type of person that would go out of his way to help anyone, but especially friends and family. His sense of sarcastic humor and sharp wit made us laugh. We will miss dearly his big heart and caring personality. May he rest in peace knowing he made a difference in the community where he worked and lived and in our lives!

Visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. Thursday until service time at Mulhearn Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be David Woods, Brian Woods, Michael Woods, Luke Rappold, Joe Waits, and Shawn Pittard.

The family would like to give special thanks, to Dr. Kerry Anders and his staff, the Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care, and Ms. Mary and Ms. Barbara with PHS Services for the love and care shown to our brother.
