Graveside services for Mrs. Betty Rae Carter, age 86 of Ruston, will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 19, 2016 in Forest Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston. Officiating the service will be Donald Litton. Mrs. Betty was born October 11, 1929 in Bienville, LA to Percy and Willie Mae Pitts Sprawls. She died April 16, 2016 in Ruston. Mrs. Betty is survived by her daughter: Jeanette Carter of Ruston;granddaughters: Jennifer Byrd and husband Chuck of Monroe, Angela Anderson and fiancé Bart of Ruston, Misty Byrd of Ruston; grandson: Jonathan Bourn and wife C.J. of Smackover, AR; great grandchildren: Ashleigh Anderson of Ruston and Jacob Byrd of Jackson, MS; sister: Jean Toms of Bossier.
