December 12, 1882 - January 12, 1968
Mrs. Clara Haden Johnson, 85, a native and lifelong resident of Shreveport died Friday at 9 a.m. in Shreveport after a long illness. A frequent visitor to El Dorado, Mrs. Johnson was the mother of Mrs. Richard T. Colquette of Shreveport, a former local resident, and the grandmother of Mrs. Emmette F. Gathright, 111 Woodland Dr. She leaves also another daughter, Mrs. A. Clyde Jackson also of Shreveport, and a grandson, Richard L. Colquette of Baton Rouge, La. Funeral services were held in Shreveport Saturday, with burial in Centuries Memorial Park, near the site of Mrs. Johnson's birth. Mr. and Mrs. Gathright and children, Gaye, Richard, Lark and Dana, were in Shreveport for the services. (El Dorado Times - January 17, 1968)
