Funeral services for David Wayne Vestal, 81, of West Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Peniel Baptist Church with Rev. Eddy Shoemaker and Rev. Milton Pray officiating. Interment will follow at Kilpatrick’s Serenity Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
Mr. Vestal was born August 12, 1932 in Start, LA and passed away August 10, 2014 in West Monroe. He was a member of Peniel Baptist Church and he retired from Georgia Pacific as a Die Maker.
Mr. Vestal is survived by his wife Elaine Vestal; son, Kenny Vestal and wife Threse; daughters; Donna White and husband Larry and Dewanna Lofton and husband Larry; grandchildren; Michael Vestal and wife Heather, Chad White and wife Penny, Shane White and wife Jodi, Shawn Mills and wife April, Bridget Rickard and husband Jeffrey, Dewayne Lofton and wife Christie, Chad Vermillion and wife Jenna, Bobby Sims and Katie Brackett; great-grandchildren;Cody White, Cheyanne White,Chase White,Erin Roach,McKenzie Vestal, Jacie Vestal, Avery Vestal, Cooper Mills, Carlie Mills, Rylie Rickard, Tyler Lofton, Logan Lofton, Andrew Rickard, Deanna Hill and husband Brian, Casey Vermillion, Kellan Vermillion and Jackson Brackett; great-great grandchild, Jaxon Rickard.
Pallbearers will be Michael Vestal, Chad White, Shane White, Shawn Mills, Jeffrey Rickard and Chad Vermillion.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dewayne Lofton, Gene McCarty, Ray Scharf, Dr. Robert Raulerson and Jesse Davis.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 12, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Peniel Baptist Church.
