Funeral services for Wesley Daryl Hudgens, 83, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:30 AM Thursday, June 2, 2011, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Mark Watson officiating. Interment will follow at Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens.

Mr. Hudgens passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at St. Frances Medical Center. He studied computers in the early 1960's and developed a unique Clearing House System at Capitol Bank and Trust Co. In 1969, he installed a computer system in First National Bank in West Monroe. In later years, he went to work at First Nation Bank in West Monroe, in the First National Computer Center, which is now Financial Institution Service Corp. Mr. Hudgens was one of the original employees and also retired from FISC. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of WWII.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Becki M. Hudgens of Monroe; children, Cynthia Hudgens of Salt Lake City, UT, Daryl Hudgens of Monroe, Eileen Dedmon and husband Darrell of Indianapolis, IN, and Brenda Fritz and husband John of Eros, LA; six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two brothers, Dr. Edward Hudgens of Ohio and Jim Hudgens of Pensacola, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Will Brady, Shawn Brady, Daniel Tedeton, John Fritz, and Joe Brady. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 1, 2011, from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, LA.
