Funeral services for Randolph Lawrence "Larry" Minard, Jr., 76, of West Monroe will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, June 9, 2013 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Rev. Russell McClary will officiate. Interment will follow at Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Larry was a native of Lasalle Parish and resident of West Monroe, LA. He passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital. Larry was born January 26, 1937 in Standard, LA to the union of Randolph L. Minard, Sr. and Buena Aline Weaver Minard. He served his country in the U. S. Navy and is a current member of the Kelly Baptist Church in Kelly, LA and was also a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Larry is survived by his wife Pat Minard of West Monroe; sons Randy and Jay Minard of Kelly, LA; grandson Dolph Minard of Kelly. Pallbearers will be Harry Minard, Royce Garman, Tony Childress, Doyle Childress, Jimmy Vickers and Mike Brown. Visitation will be held Saturday, June 8, 2013 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Reception will follow at Maple Hill Smokehouse in Kelly, LA after the funeral service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Kelly Baptist Church, P.O. Box 59, Kelly, LA 71441 or St. Jude's Hospital. A special thanks to the staff at St. Francis SICU, 7th floor staff and Dr.'s Fincher and Coburn.
