Funeral services for Mrs. Delores Edney McBroom, 64, of Haughton, LA, formerly of West Monroe will be 10:00 AM Monday, January 14, 2013 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe. LA, with Bro. Greg Clark officiating. Interment will follow in Kilpatrick’s Serenity Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Mrs. McBroom, was born May 23, 1948 in Galaveston, TX, to William and Anna Harris Edney, Sr. She passed away on January 11, 2013, in Bossier City, LA. She was a retired bookkeeper and payroll clerk, and attended Belle Meade Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. McBroom is survived by her husband of 29 years, Bennie McBroom; daughter, Traci Holman and husband, Jimmy; son, Mike Jackson and wife, Sissy; son, Donnie McBroom; and daughter, Melissa Sims; grandchildren, Mallory, Kyle, Hunter and Ryan Holman, Austin and Ashton Jackson, Sydney Higdon, Clayton and Tanner McBroom, Amber Peters, Chelsea McBroom and 2 special grandchildren, Trey and Kristie Thomason; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Clarice Raney and husband, Ed; and brother, Bill Edney; and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be grandsons Austin Jackson, Kyle and Hunter Holman, Clayton and Tanner McBroom and Trey Thomason. Honorary pallbearers will be Jake Stevens, Dub Albritton, Woody Bacon, Ray Trisler, R.C. McBroom and Mike Monts. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 PM Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe.
