Services for Jerry Richard Easterling, 62, of West Monroe, Louisiana will be held at 11:00AM Monday September 16, 2002 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, Louisiana with Rev Jerry Fleming officiating, assisted by Jamie Wilhite, burial will be in Twin Cities Memorial Garden in West Monroe, Louisiana.

Jerry died September 14, 2002 at the St Francis Medical Center. He was born in Lena, Mississippi on September 6, 1940 and has been a resident of West Monroe, Louisiana since 1949. He was a member of the Good Hope Baptist Church in West Monroe, Louisiana, was employed with Southern Tool, Inc for 36 years and served in the US Navy from 1959 to 1963. His hobbies included: his granddaughter, Maci, Boat Racing, Auto Racing and was an avid follower of West Monroe Football. Jerry was a kind and loving person who had many friends. He was a devoted son, a loving father and grandfather and a hero to his family. He touched so many lives by his courage during his long illness and his desire to never give up. His father, Mr Henry L Easterling, preceded him in death. Survivors: Son, Jerry R (Rickey) Easterling, Jr and his wife, Crystal, granddaughter, Maci Annette Easterling, Mother, Mrs Syble Rogers Easterling all of West Monroe, Louisiana; Brothers, Charles Easterling and his wife, Nita of Alexandria, La, Jessie Mack Easterling of West Monroe, Louisiana, Mickey Easterling and his wife, Ann of West Monroe, La and Gary Easterling and his wife, Becky of Brandon, Mississippi; Sisters, Liz Billings and her husband, Leon of West Monroe, Louisiana, Henrietta Futch and her husband, Gary of Monroe, Louisiana and Debbie Kimbro and her husband, Bob of Gretna, Louisiana.

Pallbearers will be David Cannon, Jimmy Whitlock, Jamie Wilhite, Ricky Streetman, George Doughtie and James Roberts.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Snake Ragland, Bill Tatel, Ray Walker and Royce Whitlock.
