Funeral services for Mr. Jeffery Todd Dixon of Sterlington, La will be 10:00am Thursday, July 2, 2015 at the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe with Rev. William Roberson officiating. Interment will follow at Serenity Gardens in West Monroe under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00pm until 8:00pm Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at the funeral home.Mr. Dixon was born April 9, 1970 in Monroe, La and passed from this life on June 28, 2015 in Shreveport, La at the age of 45. He was a resident of Sterlington and was employed as a welder at James Machinery. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Dixon; paternal grandmother, Nellie Dixon; and maternal grandparents, Jimmy and Sally Eppinette.Survivors include his wife, Janet Dixon of Monroe; his son, Brandon Dixon of Monroe; his parents, Linda and Paul Tarver of Downsville; brothers, Michael Dixon of Sterlington and Randy Dixon of Swartz; sister, Angel Dixon Bass of West Monroe; fiancé Tammy Alvis of Downsville; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Pallbearers will be Rick Scott, Cliff Scott, Clay Scott, Jimmy Wall, James Boudreaux, Todd Bell, Bill Kolb and Howard McClain.Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Smith and Paul McCowin. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at University Health of Shreveport.
