Services for Mr. Rodolph Conrad Whitten, age 81, of Monroe will be at 1 p.m., June 10, 2004, at Parkview Baptist Church, Monroe with Rev. Terry Barnes officiating. Burial will be in the Twin Cities Memorial Gardens, West Monroe, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Whitten, a member of Parkview Baptist Church, was born on June 9, 1922, and died on June 8, 2004. He was retired from L.S.U. Agricultural Extension Service and was a veteran of World War II having served in the Navy.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Dorothy Dillon Whitten of Monroe; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Grace and Bob Bozeman of Monroe and Connie and Benny Chelette of West Monroe; son, William Conrad Whitten of Dallas, TX; three granddaughters, Heather Bozeman, Molly Bozeman, and Morgan Chelette; sister, Clellon Blue of Vicksburg, MS; and brother, Trowley Whitten of Grayson, LA.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. June 9, 2004, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Parkview Baptist Church or your favorite charity.
