April 16, 1963 - January 29, 2016
Celebration of Life for Vern Pippin, 52, of West Monroe, LA, will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 2, 2016, in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe with Rev. Jack Norman officiating.
Vern was born April 16, 1963 and went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 29, 2016. He owned and operated Pippins Trucking. Vern was an avid LSU fan and a well known pool shark that played numerous tournaments in Las Vegas. He loved spending time with family, especially his children and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willard Pippin and Maxine Fulghum; and sister-in-law, Stacy Pickering.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 13 years, Jenna Pickering Pippin; two children, who were the light in his eyes, Jordan and Zane Pippin; three sisters, Charmaine LaBold, Vonita Hobson, and Belinda White; brothers-in-law, Robert Pickering and Ray Pickering and wife Crystal; father-in-law, Pat Pickering and wife Rocky; mother-in-law, Cathy Pickering; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends.
Pallbearers will be James Bass, Mark Ouchley, W.L. Hines, Ryan Robinson, Tab Gentry, Robert Eppinette, Brian Chatham, and Gerald Balsamo.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the physicians and ICU staff at Glenwood Regional Medical Center .
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday, February 1, 2016, at Griffin Funeral Home in West Monroe.
