Funeral Services for Ross Albert Barfield,70, of West Monroe will be held 3:00 P.M. Friday May 18, 2012 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe with Rev. Jeff Luellen and Dr. Dennis Swanberg officiating. Interment will follow in Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens Mausoleum, West Monroe, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
Mr. Barfield was born on March 12, 1942 in Winnsboro, LA, and passed away on May 16, 2012 at his residence with his family at his side. Ross was a member of Hyde Park Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA. He retired from the Louisiana Department of Transportation as Statewide Supervisor of Right of Way and was currently employed with Comstock Oil and Gas as a Landman. Ross is preceded in death by his siblings, Marjorie Nell Mason, Cabert Barfield, and James Barfield.
Survivors include his wife Gloria Boutwell Barfield; daughter, Kimberly Barfield Lolley and her husband, Dr. Tom Lolley; son, Brian Ross Barfield and his wife, Mary; sister, Jeanette Sharbano; grandchildren, Sarah Katherine Drost, Thomas Ross and Jonathan Paul Barfield, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Rusty Barfield, Randy Barfield, Ronnie Barfield, Darryl Boutwell, Gary Humphries and Ken Mason. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gary Waldroup, John Albert Majors, Bill Dorsey and the employees of Comstock Oil and Gas.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
Memorials may be made to the Hyde Park Baptist Church Bus/ Building Funds or to the charity of your choice.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the many family and friends for your thoughtfulness during his illness, and also to the staff of Louisiana Hospice.
