From Louisiana Archives ~ Hebert, Desire, Private Company D, 18th Louisiana Infantry. Enlisted October 5, 1861, Camp Moore, Louisiana. Present on Rolls to
February, 1862. On list dated Camp near Corinth, Headquarters, April 28, 1862, of men wounded at Shiloh. Roll for May and June, 1862, Absent, sick, in some Hospital, date unknown to Commander. Roll for July and August, 1862, Absent, sick, Jackson, Mississippi. Roll for January and February, 1863, Absent, taken Prisoner battle of Lafourche, October 27, 1862, not yet returned.
