Services celebrating the life of Mr. Leslie Fred Justus will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Officiating will be Father Karl Daigle. Interment will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 5, 2013 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home on Marshall Street from 5 to 7 PM.Les was born on September 6, 1951 in Melrose Park, Ill. He went to be with the Saints in Heaven on August 2, 2013 in Shreveport, LA.Les was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Justus and Marge Wallace Justus, his uncle Dick Wallace, his cousin Mary Theresa Roberts and his faithful companion, Sabrina. Left to cherish his precious memory is his loving wife of 29 years Kathryn Stevens Justus, son Jeffrey George Justus, his two daughters Jillian Jean and Leslie Marie, and his sweet granddaughter with whom he loved to dance, River Aidan Young. He is also survived by his sisters: Mary Davis and husband Joe, Linda Sutton and Patricia Justus, nieces and nephews: Tony and Karen Davis, Julie Davis, Chad and Tiffany Davis, JB and Jennifer Emery; great-nieces and nephews: Avery Davis, Christian and Michael Manno, Aubrey Davis, Jonathan, Evan and Shelby Emery also numerous relatives and friends all over the country. Les was loved by everyone and never met a stranger. He was an author and had a book published titled, "The Hydra Conspiracy". Les enjoyed cooking and started his own business making his signature muffaleta mix. He was the best husband and father in the world. He built his life around his family and a big part of that life was music. Les loved Frank Sinatra. He wasn't a man of many tears but he cried the day that Frank Sinatra died. Les was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him. His presence will be missed by his faithful new sidekick Sonny. Honoring Les as pallbearers will be Truitt Crow, Chad Davis, Joe Davis, Kyle Deemer, Jimmy McDowell, Marty McDowell, Steve McDowell and Nick Spaan. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Tony Davis, Peter and Kevin Nolten, Randy and Garrett Tiller, Randy Laehr, Dave Troudt, Tom Nosser, JB Emery, Michael Normand, Ed Lamb, Steve Butler, Jonathan Andrews and the Knights of Columbus.
