BOSSIER CITY, LA - A Mass of Christian Burial for Gertrude D'Amico Deaville will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Celebrant will be Msgr. Carson LaCaze. Interment will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, April 8, 2016 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., with a 7 p.m. Vigil, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City.

Gertrude was born August 26, 1924 in Maringouin, LA to Joseph and Frances D'Amico. She died April 4, 2016 in Bossier City. She retired as office manager from Powell Buick after 32 years. Gertrude was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. She was a gourmet cook and always had beautiful flower and vegetable gardens. Many people in Bossier City enjoyed the bounty from her luscious garden.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Lory Joseph "Frenchie" Deaville.

Gertrude was one of 11 children and is survived by a sister, Rosalie D. Langhetee and husband, Edmond.

Honoring Gertrude as pallbearers will be, Gerald D'Amico, Trey Beene, Bobby Firmin, Brent Deaville, Russell Langhetee, Paul Lasserre, Joe Lasserre and Edmond Langhetee. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be, Robert Mitchell, Scott Oliphint, John LeGrand, David Breitschopf, Frank Riggutto, Frank Guillory, Judge Tommy Wilson, Al Bullock and Vince Maggio.
