BENTON, LA- Heaven gained a new and uniquely amazing angel. Janet "Jan" Rae Farrer Walker left us for her ride to heaven on Thursday September 10, 2015. Janet Rae Farrer Walker was born November 04, 1954 to Henry and Bethany Farrer in Burton MI. She was their only daughter of 4 children. She graduated from Ainsworth High School in 1972. She and Lawrence Walker were married July 18, 1975. She and Larry made the move to Louisiana in 1981 and settled in Benton in 1984 where they remained raising their two children. They also became family members of the Harley Owners Group. She was blessed to be able to spend many years home with her children while they were growing up. She worked part time doing taxes for a local CPA and then full time for a CPA company. Her favorite pastime became her favorite job and her 3rd love: becoming an employee of Wallace Harley Davidson, later to become Shreveport Harley Davidson, which is now Bossier City Harley Davidson. She loved being a part of this world of family and environment. Her day was best when she was able to see the customers, hear their stories, help them and hear "I just came to see Jan". She loved to ride her Fatboy that her husband and best friend gave her especially if he was beside her on his "Cop-bike" or his "Dresser" riding together. She was an avid NASCAR fan and we know that she and Dale Earnhardt Sr. (her favorite driver and his biggest fan) are having some interesting conversations. She left this earth to join Our Lord to fill her assignment of becoming an Angel to watch over her family and friends. She joined her father, mother, step-father, father and mother in law, and sister in law in heaven. Those she left behind to continue her legacy are: Husband- Lawrence "Larry" Walker, Son- Daniel "Danny" Walker, Daughter- Amie Rae Walker; Daughter-in-law -Amy R. Walker; Son-in-law -Jerry Don Keen; Granddaughters: Kelcie E. Walker, Cassadie Rae Walker, Kaitlyn Rae Keen and Grandson: Hunter W. Keen; Brothers: James " Jim" Farrer and wife Beverly, Donald "Don" Farrer and wife Kim, William "Bill" Farrer wife Tonya, David G. Walker; 12 loving nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews; and an enormous amount of friends. There will be a celebration of life service for Jan on Wednesday September 16, 2015 at 1:30 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home 2201 Airline Dr. Bossier City, La. Interment will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery on Swan Lake Rd. Bossier City, La. Visitation will be Tuesday September 15, 2015 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home on Airline Dr. from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.
