SHREVEPORT, LA- Services for Paul Stephen (Steve) Sims will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 23, 2013 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel in Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating will be Dr. B. J. Maddox of Rose Park Baptist Church. Graveside service to follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery in Bossier City. Visitation will be held Sunday, December 22, 2013 at Rose-Neath Southside from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Steve was born June 14, 1947 in West Monroe, Louisiana. He was a well respected pharmacist at CVS on Pines Road for 35 years. When not at work, Steve was very actively involved with his family's athletics. He was a baseball coach for over 40 years and served on the Shreveport Dixie Baseball board. Steve also loved the outdoors and spent countless hours hunting and tournament bass fishing with his children.

He was preceded in death by his parents, C V and Jean Sims; grandparents, Aubrey and Johnnie Mae Vance; and In-laws, John Ben and Marie Kendall.

Steve is remembered by his wife of 47 years, Marion Kendall Sims; children, Paul, Robbie and wife Emma, Kami and husband Chris Lincoln, Kevin and fiancé Allison Gatlin; grandchildren, Josh, Lauren, Adam, Skylar, Peyton, Andrew and Connor; his siblings, Ricky and Tammy; and stepmother Evelyn. He will be greatly missed by many dear friends including Sherry Teutsch, John and Lou Sims, and Arleen McHugh.

Honoring him as pallbearers will be Rusty Rhodes, Brett Vance, Keith Parker, Tyler Parker, Chase Sims, and Brian Teutsch with honorary pallbearer, Jared Sims.

Donations can be made to the Grace Home of Shreveport, Louisiana.
