Randy Alan Wingard, age 57, of Bossier City, LA, passed away on February 23, 2015 at CHRISTUS Grace Home after a 23 month long courageous fight. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 27, 2015 at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Pastor Justin Haigler. Graveside service will follow at Rose Neath Cemetery.Randy was born on June 5, 1957 in Shreveport, Louisiana and graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1975. From an early age, Randy's entrepreneurial mind set began, starting with his own small roofing business while also attending Louisiana Tech University for three years before transferring to Louisiana State University in Shreveport where he graduated in 1980 with a degree in business. Randy worked at Roadway express for eight years until 1989 when he stepped out and purchased Abbot Promotional Products. In 2008, he sold Abbot intending to retire, which lasted about a year. Randy, together with his wife Debbie, opened Oasis Printing Inc. in August 2010.If you were blessed to have known Randy, you knew he was a very dedicated, driven, head-strong individual, but possessed an equally soft side. Family was his top priority. He was a loving, loyal, and supportive husband. Randy was present at every possible game, dance or event for his daughters.Randy enjoyed golf and participated in many tournaments throughout the years. Traveling was a passion he had since his teen years which enabled him to travel around the states, cruise to Alaska, the Mediterranean and the Caribbean. He also treated his family to countless trips including Disney World, Hawaii, Florida and California. Randy was an avid LSU fan and attended many football games.He was preceded in death by his father Richard Eugene Wingard Sr., his sister Patricia Rockett, and his brother Richard Eugene Wingard Jr.Randy is survived by his wife Debbie Wingard and his mother Earline Craun Wingard. He is also survived by his daughters Lori Wingard McDonald, husband Brad and sons Cody and Brady; Leigh Wingard Schroer, husband Danny and children Daniel and Gracie Jo; stepdaughters, Jennifer Howard and sons Dalton and Trenton; and Brandy Garlson, husband Ben and daughters Braelynn and Avery; sister, Mary Bobo and husband Carl; and a host of other family members. Pallbearers will be Britt Choate, Danny Bowlin, Phil O'Bryant, Kevin Smith, Richard Kennedy, David Glass and Boyd Wheeler. THe family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Charles Hargon and his staff; cancer staff; cancer center nurses: Amanda, Jessica, Ginger, Mona and Shannon; hospice nurse: Robyn Watkins; the caring staff at CHRISTUS Grace Home; and family friends Monica Turner and Lindsey Cockerham for their loving care.
